Steve has attended Mariners Church for 5 years. He lives in Laguna Beach with his wife Christina and their 6 month old Golden Retriever Jaxson.

Steve grew up in Minneapolis, attended the University of Northern Iowa, played thirteen years in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts and  seven years with the Los Angeles Raiders. After twelve years in the business world, he has redirected his energies to making a difference in God's Kingdom.

Steve serves on the Board of Directors for Hillview Acres Children's Home. He has been volunteering in the Mariners Military Support Ministry as well as a steady member of the Thursday morning men's Challenge for the last 4 years. He is also currently working to get his EMT certification for volunteer purposes.

I have felt an ache and passion in my heart for the military ever since I watched all the wounded guys coming home from Vietnam. What they went through was unbelievable.  They fought for our country, whether as a volunteer or draftee. They came home traumatized from what they had witnessed, only to get spit on and to be called baby killers. Most were just shoved aside… some unable to find jobs, some maimed, some forgotten in hospitals, and some suffering from post-traumatic-stress syndrome.

I come from a family of Marines: my grandfather Brigadier General Russell N. Jordahl and my father, Lieutenant Jerry Wright. I always felt so blessed missing all the wars, but I feel I must do whatever I can for our guys that are fighting or have fought for our freedom and security.
