There is no question that parts of Santa Ana are a tough area to grow up and live in. Challenges face the residents of the Minnie Street area every day. Low income, poor education and cramped housing lead to little hope for the future. For over 10 years, Mariners Church has invested in Santa Ana through this ministry on Minnie Street. The Lighthouse Community Center offers hope through programs like tutoring, youth group, gang violence awareness, literacy classes and many more. Through the efforts of the Mariners volunteers, the residents of Minnie Street have the opportunity to experience the transforming power of Christ.
