Old age can be a time of loneliness and despair as health concerns rob people of the vitality they once had. Many seniors live in facilities where there is little reason to feel hope. Joy Carriers bring smiles to the faces of senior citizens as they engage people in conversation and play games with them. Volunteers visit retirement centers weekly and bring hope to the lonely and isolated. Senior Prom is the annual dance for senior citizens offered at Mariners by Lighthouse Volunteers. Senior Sundays provides transportation and hospitality for seniors to worship at Mariners
