Orange County is home to over 10,000 families who are caught in the crisis of homelessness. The homeless in Orange County defy the stereotypes. Often they are hard working people who live in cars, motels or homeless shelters. Lighthouse Ministries bring hope to the homeless through several ministries. Miracles in Motion offers tutoring, skills classes, celebrations & mentoring to help families break the cycles of poverty and homelessness. Other ministries to the homeless include House of Hope which provides needed housing for homeless in partnership with the O.C. Rescue Mission, and Habitat for Humanity which partners with a national homebuilding organization to provide homes for the working poor.
