In 2 Corinthians, the apostle Paul
describes a church that is a community of faith and reciprocity, a
community where people care for each other out of a commitment to one
another and to God.
This
sense of koinonia--of fellowship and partnership--thrives in
Lighthouse. It exists in the volunteer hours dedicated to people in
need, in the in-kind donations, and in the financial support. Through
collective efforts and shared resources, we to reach out to the
hurting, the isolated and the impoverished with God's grace and love.
Lighthouse
Ministries is funded separately from the Mariners Church operating
budget. This means that Lighthouse does not rely on tithes given to the
church to operate its ministries. Our funding comes directly from you,
the generous people of our church and community, through gifts
designated to Lighthouse.
