Welcome Home Adoption Ministry

Welcome Home is designed to...

  • To raise awareness in our church community of the universal Christian calling to care for "orphans in their distress" (James 1:27) and "defend the cause of the fatherless" (Psalm 82:3). And to bring to light the immense need for adoptive and foster families of both domestic and international children.
  • To provide resources for those who are interested in adoption or foster care.
  • To develop a nurturing, connected, and supportive network of adoptive and foster families in our church community.
  • To provide opportunities for indirect orphan care (donating notary services or frequent flyer miles, providing meals, diapers, or baby showers, etc).

Upcoming Events

Mentoring
This program is designed to aid prospective adoptive and foster families. By pairing up such families with "mentors" who have already been through the process of adoption or foster care, prospective adoptive or foster families are guided through their own journey of bringing a new child into their family. Fellowship Days
This monthly gathering provides an opportunity for the adoptive and foster care families within our church community to connect with and encourage one another. Also welcome at our Fellowship Days are individuals and families who are interested in adoption/foster care or anyone who would just like to get to know the people in our church community who are involved in these ministries. Representatives from partner organizations provide invaluable information regarding international or domestic adoption, concurrent planning (fos-adopt), and foster care.
