With housing costs in Southern California soaring out of control, it is virtually impossible for a person with a minimum wage job to afford minimum cost housing. The high cost of living makes it difficult for the working poor to save enough for the down payment and first- and last-month’s rent required to move into even the most basic apartment. Many of these individuals end up living month to month with their families in local motels.

Miracles in Motion connects motel families with families from Mariners Church to experience life together. The intent is to see relationships built between these groups. This gives our church families an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of those who have been less fortunate and also to model successful life skills that the motel families may not have much experience with. Through these relationships, our motel families find that they have a place in God’s family, and they experience life-change through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His power in their lives.

Miracles’ primary interaction is with residents of the Costa Mesa Motor Inn and looks to expand its reach to other areas
